Halloween and Happy!

What a week! But in a total good way!

This past Monday I started back in Urgent Care. It is great to be back! I left that department for 6 months and worked in another department at another site. Needless to say that for the past 6 months I've been in a funk. Totally depressed. All I did on my days off is sleep. This was not good! I dreaded going to work and I didn't like that feeling. Obviously nobody every really wants to go to work (ok some lucky people do what the love) but usually work is more of nuisance not a dreaded place. I feel so blessed to have been offered my job back and the warm welcome back felt so good. I had forgotten what that was like, to actually have people really like you at work and vice versa. :)

Then it was Halloween time. The girls wanted to go trick or treating w/ their friends and I had said they could invite them all over for dinner. I would make chili. Then we decided to invite some of the parents who weren't doing anything to join us. We also had cake and brownies to celebrate our friend Barb's birthday and Jon's birthday. His is today. Holy cow was this house full! I think there were 8 or so kids Hallie's age and 3 kids Alexis' age. Her friend, Paige, that completes their group of 4 was home w/ a fever, poor girl.

That morning I got some stuff ready to take to the Post Office, picked up my poor sick neighbor from school early, hit 3 different grocery stores, came home put it all way and started on the chili. Then it was time to grab all the kids from both schools for carpool. Came home finished the chili, made brownies and frosted and decorated them. Then it was time for company (some of the kids were already here after school and we had to make a run to their homes for costumes). I seriously hadn't stopped. But.... it was so great! The house was full of laughter and friends and food and lots and lots of sugar. After the kids went trick or treating they came back and sorted and traded their loot. What fun! Brings back so many memories.

Today it is recover from yesterday day. Even though I crashed out hard after cleaning last night I still napped a little this morning. I've made Jon a cake, always German Chocolate for his birthday, I still have to frost and decorate. But at least I'm in sweats and lounging. And feeling very Blessed.

My positive for the day: I have a great family and great friends! :)
